Throughout the league, the youngsters regularly featured for Garhwal Heroes FC.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the tournament progressed, Carlos and Karthik got picked by scouts and signed for an I-League-based team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a season of learning for the team. We have stayed composed and outperformed robust sides on many occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;However, we dropped points against opponents where we should not have. We will reflect on the shortcomings and focus on our strengths for the next season,\u201d said Kishore Taid, the CEO of Enjogo and GHFC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delhi Senior Division Football League is an 11-team competition conducted in a round-robin format where every club plays each other twice. Out of the 20 games, GHFC won 11 matches, drew 6, and lost 3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"645\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-2--1024x645.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1697\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-2--1024x645.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-2--300x189.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-2--768x484.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-2-.jpeg 1053w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The team scored 40 goals in total, and 24-year-old forward &#8211; Nirmal Singh Bisht became the club\u2019s top scorer this season. Nirmal signed for GHFC in 2019 and has represented the team in I-League Qualifiers, Delhi Senior Division, and other national competitions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe finished second twice in the last three years. The aim is to qualify for the I-League by winning the state and the 2nd Division League next season. We will put forward our best efforts to achieve the target. Overall, it was a good season with young players. We could see a lot of potential, and we want to build on it,\u201d said Sunil Patwal, the Technical Director of GHFC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Launching India&#8217;s first college football program with GHFC&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This year GHFC partnered with Apeejay Stya University (ASU) in Gurugram, to launch India&#8217;s first college football program for undergrad students. The college offers degrees in Engineering, Management, Law, Journalism, and related fields as well as job placements in top companies. Budding footballers who get selected will play professionally while pursuing a degree of their choice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1698\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-3.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-3-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-3-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-3-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.enjogo.com\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/GHFC-3-200x200.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The youngsters will participate in reputed university competitions year-round alongside playing in national and international tournaments. They will be guided and trained by AFC \u2018Pro\u2019 and \u2018A\u2019 certified coaches who have experience of more than ten years in youth development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The registrations for the academic year 2022-23 are ongoing, with few slots left.
